- Information from the Province of Manitoba regarding the COVID-19 outbreak. According to the February 12, 2021 Public Health Act, businesses that are producing a motion picture or television show may operate (item 70, p 36 in the Schedule of businesses permitted to operate) and businesses that conduct communications and broadcasting activities (items 6, 7 and 8 on page 28 of the schedule) may continue to operate.

- ACTRA National’s COVID-19 webpage has information about financial support. Note that the Canada Recovery Benefit (CRB) opened for applications on October 12, 2020.
- The On Screen Manitoba Producer’s Committee has endorsed the Manitoba Media Production Industry COVID-19 Health and Safety Guide (updated March 1, 2021). The Guide is supplemental to, and not a replacement for, the requirements stipulated by the Government of Manitoba to reduce the spread of COVID-19. It is intended to complement the Manitoba Government guidelines listed in Restoring Safe Services: Phase 2 (scroll down to Film Production effective June 1, 2020), an update in Phase 3 (scroll down to Film Production effective June 21, 2020) and under Workplace Guidance for Business Owners. On Screen Manitoba hosted a COVID-19 information session on March 15, 2021 with Producer Ellen Rutter, Nurse and COVID-19 Supervisor Nicole Loewen, and Preventive Medicine Specialist Dr. Richard Rusk.
